Brian Turner is one of the UK’s best-loved television chefs, watched by many on shows like Daily Cooks Challenge, This Morning and The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

In 2002 Brian was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list, for his services to tourism and training in the catering.

For the Smooth Radio Starlight Supper, Brian has compiled a wonderful classic British menu, complete with the stylish nuances that separate his cuisine from his contemporaries.

Brian’s early mentor was the late Michael Smith and he has trained at some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in Europe, including The Savoy Grill and Beau Rivage Palace, before returning to London where he worked at Claridges and Capital Hotel, alongside Gary Rhodes and Shaun Smith.

In 1986 he opened his first restaurant, Turner’s, in Knightsbridge. It was after this that he began appearing on Ready Steady Cook, This Morning and Master Chef.

In 2003 Brian opened Brian Turner at Mayfair, which specialises in Modern British fare. The same year he released Brian Turner’s Favourite British Recipes.

Throughout his career Brian has been committed to the training of young people and was awarded a Fellowship of the City and Guilds of London Institute (FCGI) along with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Yorkshire Society.
