What We've Seen This Week 14th December

Here are some of the weird, interesting, cute, unusual and odd things that have passed our eyes this week on the Mark Goodier Show.

Friday 18th: Christmas came early for the meerkat residents of the London Zoo, who received the best gift ever (if you're a meerkat) from their keepers Wednesday. That gift? Christmas crackers stuffed with delicacies: mealworms and locusts. That's like winning the meerkat lottery!

Thursday 17th: Belinda Carlisle may have written a song about it but now you can see a Circle in The Sand – it’s the world’s biggest artwork. Big enough for more than 176 Wembley Stadiums – it is visible from 7.5 miles up

SNOW monkeys have made the most of the cold weather by starting what looks like a snowball fight. The cute creatures wrestled in the powder before rolling tiny snowballs and tossing them at each other in Japan in scenes captured by a local photographer.

Wednesday 16th: Who needs proper musical instruments in order to make music? Answer: lost of people do. But not, apparently, the protagonists of this video, which sees six people playing various parts of a Jeep in order to create a pounding dance track - all of it recorded live, in a single take.

Tuesday 15th: A cute little musician has taken the internet by storm with his amazing ukulele abilities. The talented lad is a natural performer and manages to play Jason Mraz's famous hit "I'm Yours" almost perfectly — but he does forget a few words as he sings along. The video has attracted a phenomenal amount of views with more than ONE MILLION web users logging on to watch him.

A busy street crossing may not seem the most sensible place for a dance floor but a retired US police officer has been delighting motorists with his moves. For Tony Leporre directing traffic is no mere routine - it's a dance routine.

Monday 14th Dec: A new internet spoof game called "Tiger Hunting", is the latest apparent parody of the mysterious car crash that sparked the sportsman's troubles. It’s a cartoon version of Woods putting his foot down as an angry-looking Elin Nordegren chases after him wielding a club.

An Australian man has been photographed sitting on a dead whale while it was being eaten by tiger sharks in an attempt to dispel myths about the predators. A spokesman for Australia's Department of Environment and Conservation said 'This is highly irresponsible and dangerous behaviour and puts people’s lives at risk.'
