The Commodores have recorded a remake to their hit song Nightshift to pay tribute to their friend Michael Jackson on the year anniversary of his untimely death.

The Commodores and The Jackson 5 have ties going back to the start of the Commodores career. They toured together in the early 70's and that led to Berry Gordy's signing the Commodores to Motown.

The Commodores performed at Wembley Arena in London the night Michael Jackson died. The re worked version of Nightshift is available as a download from today at www.myspace.com/thecommodoresnow
