Tony Blackburn
Tony was the 2002 winner of 'I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' but can now be found presenting the Smooth Weekend Breakfast Show from 7am.
His radio career began a while ago...July 25th 1964 on Radio Caroline South (the Mi-Amigo) to be exact.
When he's not at work he likes to watch some of his best links from 'Top Of The Pops'! He also enjoys just being at home with his family doing nothing but relaxing! He knows what he likes and will always have the same when he goes out to a restaurant - vegetable soup followed by spaghetti with tomato sauce. He says "Some people have asked why I never have anything else and my answer is I've found something I like so why try anything else which I might not like." He would go to Mexico for a holiday or failing that Bournemouth in November so he can get a deck chair!
Marvin Gaye according to Tony was the greatest of them all and sadly he never saw him live on stage, naming 'What''s Going On' as his favourite ever album.
The 1960s were an important decade for Tony because so much changed and being a part of the pirate radio stations was a very special time.
